Your Input: We're writing two new etiquette books and are looking for your thoughts
It's time to rewrite our Business and Wedding Etiquette books and we'd love to hear from you!

As we embark on two new book manuscripts this year, we would love your help with the content we’ll be putting into each of them.
Emily Post’s Business Etiquette and Emily Post’s Wedding Etiquette will soon accompany our latest and greatest Emily Post’s Etiquette - The Centennial Edition. Just as Emily did, we like to interview people and hear thoughts and opinions on best practices and who they serve when it comes to manners and etiquette in order to craft the most inclusive, practical, and consideration-based advice that we can. Use the link buttons below to share your thoughts with us on either or both topics.
Business Book Participation
We would love to hear your thoughts on how to be our best selves in a professional environment. You might write something like, “I appreciate advice that doesn’t make the handshake the end-all-be-all of the business greetings. I cannot shake hands, and I’d like to think my greetings are just warm, respectful, and considerate.” Or maybe something like, “I’d really like to understand better what’s expected now for video calls. It seems like everyone’s camera is off for these meetings, which defeats the purpose of using a video call platform or service.” “Please tell people not to microwave foods with strong aromas in a communal office kitchen.”
Share your thoughts with us, and we’ll pick five people from all those who submit to receive a signed copy of the book once it’s published.
Wedding Book Participation
With a bit more lead time on our wedding book, we decided to take a different approach. We are looking to interview married couples about their wedding experience. Each interview will consist of five questions and will be recorded for future use as a podcast for our Community Members. Here are the five questions you and your spouse will be asked:
Please set the scene of your wedding: Date, location, number of guests, general style, and expectations.
Going into your wedding planning, what were your thoughts or expectations?
And what were your thoughts after the wedding took place?
What was one thing, looking back now, that you wish you had known going into hosting/planning a wedding? Or one thing you would say to a couple planning their wedding now.
Looking back, what was one unexpected or memorable moment?
If you’re interested in participating and sharing your story, we would love to hear from you. If we choose you and your spouse to be interviewed, we will reach out with the next steps. Those interviewed in 2024 will receive a signed copy of the wedding book once it is published.
Thank you for helping us with these two book projects. We are so excited to hear your perspective, and we really appreciate you taking the time to share it with us.
All our best,
Lizzie and Dan
