The Saturday Sip: January 20, 2024
Your etiquette tip, quote and an Emily Post Cookbook recipe to start your weekend off right!
The Tip
Hosting gifts are not mandatory, nor are they necessary, even as a nicety, for every event hosted in someone’s home. Some social groups and families have personal policies of always bringing something, and that’s fine to follow if that feels right to you. There are times we recommend you bring a gift, like when you are visiting someone’s home (or new home) for the first time. Outside of these moments, for casual visits and even standard dinner parties, a hosting gift is a nice idea but not a “have-to” practice.
The Recipe
A decadent appetizer is on the menu for today’s recipe. This crunchy, creamy bite will surely be a crowd-pleaser at your next party.
