The Saturday Sip: December 2, 2023
Your etiquette tip, quote and an Emily Post Cookbook recipe to start your weekend off right!
The Tip
Holiday treats are an excellent way to celebrate the season and special relationships in our lives. No matter what type of treat you whip up this time of year as a gift for those in your life, including a list of ingredients when you give it is considerate so that recipients know what they’re biting into.
The Recipe
Lizzie’s mom, Tricia Post, made Hard Sauce every year for her nearest and dearest when Lizzie was growing up. She remembers spending an afternoon with Mom, dropping off decorative bowls filled with Hard Sauce at the hair salon and friends’ houses to help spread some cheer! Excellent on pie, puddings, and cake, and frankly, a decadence to have as a spoonful on its own, Hard Sauce is a unique recipe not to be missed!
