Your inspirational etiquette tip, Emily Post quote and an Emily Post Cookbook recipe to start your weekend off right!
The Tip
It’s very common to feel nervous about an in-person job interview. One thing that can help you prepare is to (if possible) figure out the best travel route to take based on the day of the week and time of day the interview is scheduled for. Do a practice run by traveling the route under as-similar-as-possible conditions. Look for any hang ups, and double check that there isn’t a local event along the route the day of. It might sound like a lot, but not only will it provide you with useful information to help you plan, it will help you feel confident about getting to your interview.
The Recipe
This one surprised us, we haven’t braved it yet, but Emily does a good job of trying to sell the dish.

Codfish Tongues
Comparatively few people know that codfish have tongues and still fewer that these tongues are delicious to eat. If you ever see them in your fish market, buy them by all means and cook them the following way. They are really one of the greatest delicacies.
Time: 20 minutes (after peeling tongues)
Serves: 4
Ingredients
1 lb cod tongues
1/2 cup (scant) flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
4 shallots, chopped
1/2 cup butter
2 larger or four small tomatoes, peeled and sliced
1 1/2 Tbsp chopped parsley
Directions
Peel skin off tongues. Dry them and roll gently in the seasoned [salt and pepper]flower.
Cook shallots a minute or two in butter. Add tongues and brown in butter with the shallots. Move them around and turn them over gently so as not to break any of the tongues into pieces.
Add tomatoes and parsley. Cover and simmer 10 to 12 minutes.
