Episode 553 - Taking It Out
Your Awesome Etiquette podcast episode for the week. Plus, the weekly etiquette challenge, Monday joke, and an etiquette extra for the kids.
On today’s show, we take your questions on accompanying someone to the salon, being asked to contribute as a host to a bridal shower - after the fact, and how to eat olives with pits. For Community Members, your question of the week is about gifting for a double birthday party. Plus your weekly challenge, etiquette salute, and a postscript segment where we hear more from second graders about etiquette.

Weekly Awesome Etiquette Challenge
This week’s challenge is to be aware of the amount of space you and your cart are occupying at the grocery store. We can all get into our heads, and let’s face it, grocery store aisles are not always spacious. But it’s polite to be aware of our cart and where we leave it while shopping. Don’t forget to say, Excuse me and Thank you as you maneuver around people.
We want to offer another big Emily Post thank you to Mrs. Torres's 2nd grade class and AE producer Claire for bringing us our Manners with Kids postscript series. We’ll have more to come from the classroom in the future. If you have a class that you would like to introduce to Awesome Etiquette, like Mrs. Torres's class, please contact us for more information at AE@emilypost.com.
See you Thursday.
All our best,
Daniel and Lizzie
