Episode 521 - Cutting Salad
Your Awesome Etiquette podcast episode for the week. Plus your bonus question, weekly etiquette challenge, the Monday joke, and a holiday etiquette extra
On today’s show, we take your questions on whether you can cut up a salad, what a haggard Hawaiin host can do, and visiting a friend in a neighborhood that makes you nervous. For community members, your question of the week is about writing thank-you notes after interviews. Plus, your weekly challenge, etiquette salute, and a feedback postscript segment.
Etiquette extra - Labor Day
However you are celebrating Labor Day we hope this finds you well and in repose. This weekend marks the turn from summer to fall and provides the opportunity to celebrate a significant transition and honor the work that supports our communities. Whether you are hosting or guesting this year, we wish you the best and look forward to the school, work, rest, and play that the fall will bring.
SIGNED COPIES OF OUR LATEST BOOK AND TRIVIA GAME are available from our local partner, Bridgeside Books, who can also secure copies of our other titles. Check out the Emily Post Collection there; there are so many options for great gifts!
Weekly Podcast Etiquette Challenge
It’s time for our etiquette challenge of the week. This week’s challenge is to twirl your spaghetti. You can use a spoon with your fork if you like, or try to catch just a few strands on the edge of your plate and twist up the perfect bite. Remember, good habits come from regular practice.
As always, thank you for spending some time with us. We wish you the best on this day of repose and look forward to a fresh and crisp fall in the coming days.
All the best,
Lizzie and Dan
